Business and Administration >>employment opportunities Continued growth In order to ensure that Hope For Tomorrow is able to aggressively pursue its mission, it is essential that it diversify in its services within the State of Texas as well as expand outside the state borders. In order for HFT to become a national and international organization, it has been determined that National Accreditation is necessary. This National Accreditation will not only allow HFT to conduct business in states other than Texas, but will give HFT the necessary infrastructural integrity to conduct business successfully in any region of the country. The process itself will lead to better staff and family training, betters systems and processes, and better checks and balances. Overall the process will create a better organization out of an already great one. After much consideration, HFT has elected to seek accreditation from the Council on Accreditation. This nationally recognized and respected organization focuses on accrediting social organizations. Although accreditation with COA will be more difficult that with other alternatives, it was decided that COA credentials would lend themselves best to help HFT reach its National aspirations. Bringing HFT to Your Area of Texas Hope For Tomorrow currently has offices stretching across the state with plans to add several more prior to the end of the year 2006. It may be that HFT is already working in your area and you don’t even know it. If you would like to inquire about being a foster parent and/or bringing HFT to your area please contact our development department as the Corporate Office (888-644-HOPE). Your information will be passed on to one of the local developers who will in turn contact you personally. If HFT currently has no plans for adding an office in your area, help us do so! Generally we need 8 – 10 families and 25 – 30 placements before it becomes economically feasible. However, HFT is well aware of the security and convenience have a local office gives to foster parents and will try and expedite creating a physical location in any area that shows growth potential. Word of mouth is our best form of advertising. Bringing HFT to Your State Hope For Tomorrow is actively pursuing a license and contract in the states of Oklahoma and Arkansas. The process is lengthy and generally takes several months to a year or more. Much research is required prior to identification of states that HFT plans to move into. First and foremost, HFT is committed to bringing hope to the areas that need it most. Therefore, a genuine need must exist before an area or state is considered for development. Secondly, the state in question must be receptive to private agencies providing foster and adoptive placements. Some states do not contract with private agencies at all. One day, HFT hopes to be able to provide homes for children with or without state funds, but until such time we have to focus on areas where state contracts make it economically feasible. Finally, we have to have loving families who are called to join the ministry of helping abused and neglected children. We truly are a ministry that feels a relationship with Jesus Christ is a necessary part of the healing process. |
